World Bank halts Karachi's K4 water project over safety concerns. The $256 million K4 Augmentation project, aimed at connecting three major water reservoirs to Karachi's water system through 95 km of pipeline, was stopped on December 10 after World Bank experts found environmental and social safety measures to be inadequate.
