The practice of coppicing has seen a resurgence in the UK, as farmers and food producers have begun to find new ecological and economic benefits. In this video, our MSc Regenerative Food, Farming and Enterprise students hand coppice a patch of willow to be made into ramial woodchip, which will then be applied to our soil to increase its fertility and encourage good bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi.
