The balls aren’t moving faster -your perception is. Your brain is tricked because each side uses a different “pulsing” pattern. One pulses top-to-bottom, the other bottom-to-top -and your visual cortex interprets that as speed, even when the objects are identical. Your mind does this all the time. This is why mindfulness works. Most of the panic comes not from reality… but from the story your brain overlays onto reality, just like your brain overlays “speed” onto an image where nothing is actual
