This afternoon, five DREMC linemen are headed to assist Habersham EMC (HEMC) in Clarkesville, Georgia, with power restoration following yesterday’s severe weather that left a wide path of damage across the southeast. The same storm system that hit our area also left widespread damage in HEMC’s area and initially 8,000 of their 33,000 members without power.
