Boudicca’s rebellion in 60/61 AD was a direct response to extreme Roman cruelty, including her public flogging and the assault of her daughters. Uniting the Iceni and neighboring tribes, she led a devastating campaign, sacking Camulodunum (Colchester), Londinium (London), and Verulamium (St. Albans), resulting in an estimated 70,000–80,000 deaths.
