I set up VMWare Workstation (free) at home this weekend, and have a Windows 7 Pro VM installed. That’s all running quite well. The one limitation that I’ve run into is that I can’t pass my GPU on my host through to the guest VM, so any graphical stuff on the VM is handled by my CPU.
