We spent a fantastic day at Sunset Sound Recorders with my dear friend Darrell Thorp recording Robert Jon & The Wreck. Darrell has this incredible way of making a band feel like a band. No fuss, just great sounds and great vibe. He set the drums up beautifully in the Studio 3 iso room, used his classic mono overhead approach and even pulled out his favourite condenser tricks on the toms.
