Panasonic has released a new version of its Viera Remote App for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The new remote control application enables you to control Viera TVs over your wireless network (Wi-Fi).

Considering our smartphones are capable of so much already, you would think they’d be perfect replacements for our TV remotes. Unfortunately, the answer is a bit more complicated than you might think.
