The 2025 Florida Python Challenge has wrapped up for the season. The challenge began on July 10 and ended on Sunday, July 20. The challenge is held yearly in the Everglades to combat the growing number of invasive Burmese pythons in South Florida.

Dates for the 2025 Florida Python Challenge have been announced. The Florida Python Challenge is a 10-day competition to remove invasive Burmese pythons from South Florida. Participants must complete online training and pay a $25 registration fee.

Last year’s winner was Taylor Stanberry, who removed 60 Burmese pythons in the record-breaking 2025 event
